June is here, bringing longer days, summer energy, and plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy everything Northeast Florida has to offer. ☀️🌊

This month, we recognize Juneteenth, a meaningful day in our nation’s history that commemorates freedom and reflects the strength and progress of our communities. Across the region, local events, music, and gatherings offer opportunities to come together and celebrate. 🎶🤝

June is also Pride Month, a time to honor the LGBTQ+ community and the importance of inclusion, respect, and belonging. 🌈 Our area continues to grow and evolve, and one of its greatest strengths is the diversity of the people who call it home and contribute to its vibrant character.

And of course, we take time this month to celebrate all the dads and father figures in our lives. Happy Father’s Day to those who guide, support, teach, and show up in all the everyday ways that matter most. 👔💙

As we move into summer, Northeast Florida is filled with festivals, music, outdoor activities, and hidden gems waiting to be explored. 🎵🏖️ Whether you’re enjoying a local event, heading to the beach, or discovering a new favorite restaurant, June is a wonderful time to appreciate the lifestyle our communities offer.

This month’s newsletter is going to be a bit different and we are going to highlight some of Northeast Florida’s Hidden Gems that you may not know about. ✨

🌿 Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

One of Jacksonville’s best-kept secrets is Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Tucked away near Monument Road, this 120-acre preserve features wooded trails, lakes, wildflowers, and surprisingly diverse ecosystems. 🌳🌼 Many longtime residents don’t discover it until years after moving here. It’s a peaceful alternative to the beach and a wonderful spot for morning walks, birdwatching, and photography. 📸🦋

🌅 Boneyard Beach

Just north of Jacksonville on Big Talbot Island, Boneyard Beach looks like something from another world. 🛶 Timucuan Preserve

Covering thousands of acres of marshes, waterways, historic sites, and nature trails, the Timucuan Preserve offers a glimpse of what Northeast Florida looked like centuries ago. 🌾🌊 Visitors can kayak through quiet creeks, hike scenic trails, and explore historic landmarks without ever leaving Jacksonville.

🌾 Castaway Island Preserve
