MAY Events in Northeast Florida (Jacksonville, St. Augustine & Surrounding Areas)

Happy Mothers Day on May 12th to all the Mothers in the Group.  May your day be filled with love, laughter and joy! 💝

May is also the month we celebrate the graduates.  Congratulations to all the Graduates out there.  Job well done! 🎓

May 25 is Memorial Day which often feels like the unofficial start of summer—gatherings, cookouts, and time with family and friends. But at its heart, it is a day to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. It’s a moment to pause, reflect, and hold space for the sacrifices that allow us the freedoms we enjoy every day. As we enjoy the holiday weekend, may we do so with gratitude and remembrance. 🇺🇸

There are still plenty of activities happening in and around Northeast Florida during the Month of May.  The weather is still relatively mild, its a good time to get out and enjoy the fun things that are available to us.  Here are some great ideas to get out and about this Spring:

Head down to Orlando for The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is one of Walt Disney World’s most beloved seasonal events—a vibrant spring celebration that transforms EPCOT into a showcase of flowers, food, and entertainment. Held annually in the spring, the 2026 festival runs from March 4 through June 1 and is included with regular EPCOT admission. What makes it special is the way it blends Disney magic with horticulture—think larger-than-life Disney character topiaries, themed gardens, butterfly exhibits, and beautifully landscaped displays throughout the park. 🌸

May 6 – 7 is the St. Augustine Food and Wine Festival which looks to be a culinary delight. The St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival returns May 7–11, 2026, and it’s one of those events that makes for a perfect excuse to head to historic St. Augustine for the weekend. From grand tastings and chef-led experiences to wine seminars and local culinary favorites, it’s a celebration of food, wine, and coastal charm all rolled into one. Whether you’re a serious foodie or simply looking for a fun and flavorful outing, this festival offers a relaxed, upscale atmosphere with plenty to savor. https://staugustinefoodandwinefestival.com for more information.🍷🍝

If you feel the urge to Rock out a bit, we have just the thing for you a few miles down the road in Daytona: The Welcome to Rockville returns to the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida from May 7–10, 2026, bringing four days of high-energy rock, metal, and alternative music to Northeast Florida. Known as one of the largest rock festivals in the country, it features multiple stages, major headliners, food and drink options, and a full festival experience that draws fans from all over. 🎸

It’s loud, it’s lively, and it’s definitely one of those signature spring events that puts Florida’s music scene on full display.

If Jazz is more your style we have you covered with the Jacksonville Jazz Festival: The Jacksonville Jazz Festival returns over Memorial Day Weekend, May 21–24, 2026, bringing four days of live music and downtown energy to the heart of the city. Kicking off Thursday evening with the beloved Jazz Piano Competition at the Florida Theatre, the festival then rolls into three full days of free outdoor performances along the riverfront at Ford on Bay. 🎷🎶

It’s one of Jacksonville’s signature events—easygoing, walkable, and filled with great music, food vendors, and a lively crowd enjoying the St. Johns River backdrop. Admission to the main stage performances is free, making it a fun and accessible way to spend the holiday weekend.

For you Seafood Lovers, The Blue Crab Festival, held on Memorial Day weekend along the riverfront in Palatka, Florida, celebrates local culture, flavors, and family fun. Organized by local community members, this big event is brought to you by the volunteers who live there.

This year’s Blue Crab Festival runs from Friday, May 22, through Sunday, May 24, 2026, and features live music, fun for the kids, a water ski show, and (of course) great seafood. call (386) 329-0100 or visit event website at https://www.palatkabluecrab.com/ for more information. 🦀
